Diva Benini vs Clay
Opening night of the Ctrl+Art+Delete expo at Tarmac, Meerhout. We had a professional boxer coming over to go into a fight with a monolith of clay (340kg). The fight literally symbolises the struggle of the artist with his material and with himself. However Diva Benini were not in the boxing ring themselves at this performance but made use of a professional martial arts sports artist.
The performance is a reference to contemporary artists who represent an enormous market value but who are increasingly using paid technicians or craftsmen for the realization of their work. Nice pictures are available upon request.
